Are you ready for some FOOTBALL??The 2011 football season at Pearl High School is just around the corner and several big rivalry games, including Brandon, Jackson Prep and Ridgeland, are scheduled for Ray Rogers Stadium. We are expecting big crowds for all home games and to help build excitement about the great things happening with Pearl Pirate football, we are starting a new game day tradition….tailgating.With the full support of the administration and athletic staff, we will be tailgating in the Pavilion area, which is next to the tennis courts.Tents may be set up in the grass around the Pavilion and if you do not have a tent, you are encouraged to come and use the shelter of the Pavilion.Tailgating activities will begin at 4:30 PM and the area must be cleared by 11:00 PM.There is no charge for setting up tents. Please be sure and download the complete copy of the tailgating rules located below. If you choose to have food or drink in the tailgating area, you will be responsible for providing your own food. For added convenience, the Pearl Pirate Band Auxiliary is offering pre-packaged deals on food and drink items. We encourage you to support the Band in this effort. Please contact Jeff Cannon at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have additional questions about the pre-ordering of food. Tailgating will provide a great opportunity for you to visit with friends and family, meet new people and promote your club, church or business. We are hoping that tailgating will encourage a renewed community interest in Pearl High School and Pearl Pirate football. We want to encourage the students that participate in football, cheerleading, dance and band with an exciting game-day atmosphere and crowd support. We hope you will join us for tailgating at all Pearl home games.
